AGP won't work with Win10, since there is no GART/chipset AGP driver for Win10 (you may try to disable Driver Signature Enforcement if you have WinVIsta/7 AGP driver). You could just run Vsync locked benchmark, with control scores for both 60FPS results and 144FPS one. Assuming GPU can do more than 144FPS, if you get higher number of the two control scores - 144Hz mode should work properly.

Core 2 Duo E6700 + GTX 260 (with 2x 2GB RAM, if they work on your board). If that E6700 is PDC (and not C2D), you should be able to OC it a bit (assuming board allows CPU multiplier control).

Main problem with early cards is image quality under 3D workload. Some are VERY broken, so comparing them based on performance metric is meaningless (since they can't display the same [correct] image).
