Have not been in this thread for a long while, did anyone beat the scores of Asus P5A boards? They are still my favorite boards and years ago i had many ss7 boards of different brands and Asus boards were faster. Hmm so does it still say 5v is missing ? Have you looked at the bottom of the motherboard to see if any traces are burnt ? Do you have a digi voltmeter or PSU tester and see what voltages are coming from the PSU's ? I am sure both PSUs work. 5V is working. Did not do a good inspection yet. Will …

Hello everyone 😀 I bought a PSU from Ebay ''Green 500W'' Tested it on my P5A-B and it worked, tried it on Matsonic MS6260S and it died. I installed post card and 5V is missing 🤣. I remember something about newer PSUs that can cause this on older boards? They don't have -5V?

Does anyone have a CPU that will run 5.5x120 660MHz? Mine crashes during game 1 randomly. I've put the whole PC outside! I'm in North Dakota USA... Its cold!! That is a good result! My best with 512kb cache and 633MHz is 5250 I am at 5104 with 617MHz now 😁

The VIA boards are slightly slower. But there is a chance they might catch up in some games. 4100 is not bad but there is some hidden points left for you.

I have posted somewhere in this thread a link to 6.5ns tag ram. I am now trying a 1.06 P5AB and thus far I am at 4600 with 617mhz K6-2+ 2.2V. Can run 2.2V 633mhz cache off. It wont run 115mhz with cache on lol. Looking back at my score of 5700... Damn that was hard but soo worth it! I am working …

Did ASUS not update the bios on newer boards? This board has a 0028 chipset. I know I have to use the bios at own risk, this is my 4th one I am trying to flash :p Think I used this method on my other 3 boards And thanks!
