I tried that in many configurations already, nothing works. I saw that in help. Maybe I'm still doing something wrong? My NC version is 5.51 Looks like this trick only works for files extensions.

Thanks alot ! Sorry I was offline when some basics infos were needed, it is Windows 95 OSR2 and the crash was occurring in every combination, playing with cpu types/core. I was planning to do more tests about it. Yet everything was done so quickly 😀 It is nice to see it resolved though.

Stack overflow while running Windows Media Player (5.0.1) (W95) in latest release of Dosbox-X. It crashes even if I run only the executable of mentioned application. Core: Normal In 0.82.14 however, I found nice improvements with handling codecs and performance. Best version I think.

I'm getting an error telling "VGA Bios size too small" when vmem>than 4 MB and allow 32bpp vesa modes is true Using the override doesn't help. It does not happens on the other dosbox versions, what could it be?

Considering how good DOSBox-X is and the future of it. Wouldn't it be better to make DOSBox-X working only with images emulation of drives, without all the stuff which allows mounting host's directories and "external" tools? Simply it would be lighter. I guess users have fun more while emulating …

Another issue. Most games are slower a little than on other versions of DOS Box. For example Aladdin lagging while on DOS Box Daum (2014 version) runs fine. Both are running on the same config.
