I think the motherboard is Alaris one with OPTi 295 chipset, CPU is ALi M1386SX, the FPU is "Cyrix 387SX" this is the only printing. Sound card is a Creative Sound Blaster 2.0. No LAN card yet.

VLB does work on a pure 386 CPU. I had a board based on OPTI495SX that did it. However, it wasn't a whole lot faster than ISA, and only certain cards would function with it (ATi Mach64 was one of them).
