would the boot menu start before the HIMEM checks for memory could in theory have few boots options like one with display.sys loaded one without display.sys loaded one just for dos networking/bbs stuff

and I found out that only the to put the ; infront is display.sys line in config.sys and it works trying to make bat file that does that automatically does that when game loads and automatically removes the ; when games exits dos 6.22 - bat file help

ok thanks and had a go with them and other sys loaders and unloaders doesn't work as some cant find the sys file (eventhough the sys file is there) or if it does, the dos prompt flashes and does nothing and is there a way to unload a sys file from already loaded config.sys and load the unloaded sys …

ok cause i made choice menu for game because it has few episodes and uses slowdown software and try to change mode and code keyboards before the choices in the bat file loaded and didn't work also change the display and country settings in config.sys

hi all is there a way to make a bat file for a game to switch the keyboard mode and code to another country and switch back to original mode and code when it exits also change the display and country settings in config.sys and change back to original setting when exits the game

I noticed my motherboard for my "vintage pc rig" can accept usb but the pin out is the board is 8-pins and the closest I find on net for rear panel usb is 9 pins and wondering if that will still work

think i fixed the problem i replace the pci extractor fan for a lower power one and removed the thermal paste from cpu and heatsink because i when apply the paste to it, the problems happens

think i fixed the problem my cd-rom drive I used was a 52x one think it needed more power I swapped it out for a 32x cd-rom drive and no issues so far and been running for few hours now UPDATE don't think that worked it happened again after about half hour of switching on the morning 2nd UPDATE …

i have updated the bios recently (which there was only one for allowing hdd up to 64gb) but kept a backup of old bios thinking trying different drivers for voodoo card or if worst comes to worst, i try doing a fresh install of 95 and wanna keep the pentium pc for dos to win 95 era as i already have …

When boot into win95, everything work fine but after about 5 mins the pc speaker beeps once and screen goes black like its turning off but if I press a key on keyboard, the screen comes back but freezes and and a soft reset doesn't work, I have to do a hard reset and sometime a windows protection …

Kl thanks and I have ordered the passive heatsinks and pci extractor fan and will see if I can easily find a case fan with molex power instead the smaller pin ones
