I'm trying to get Pentium II 333 Slot 1 in my hands. So there will be POD vs PII duel 😎 In the meantime I am testing P4 1400 s423 (SDR vs DDR vs RIMM).

Even your own example shows that Phenom II@3,2Ghz beats the FX8320@3,2Ghz in ST. Size of the RAM makes no difference (as long as there is enough), my timings are also very tight (and have rather low impact). I think that the motherboard can play the biggest role here. What is yours?

Even K6-2 300 should be faster than Pentium 233MMX, not much but still. They are cheap as dirt so you can always buy one and just try.

Lines in DOS are 99% memory chips. You cant remove just one and test the card, it won't even boot. 9800Pro is still common, buying new one would be cheaper that replacing memory in yours. But you can always try the owen solution, it can help.

Well... Sixth page: Single core Multi 7-Zip is less memory dependent than winrar so there is a bigger difference between POD and PPO.

My 386DX-40 works fine with 80mb ram (1x64 72pin and 4x4mb 30pin), but it has only 128kb of cache 🙁
