It's weird because the same system, with Windows 2000/XP works fine. DMA works and only 1 DVD-ROM is listed. :-? Also, i tried generic drivers from WIN98 and they do work properly, but I don't have any DMA option with generic ones.

Ok, I figured it out myself. The main problem had to do with Interrupts. I played with the PNP OS: Yes/No in BIOS and with the Manual/Auto Interrupt setups and now all works fine 😀 I needed to disable VGA IRQ5 to free an IRQ for the ISA soundcard.
