Re: Happy New Year 2021!

Happy New Year! Thanks to COVID, homeoffice and cancelled business trips I've had much more time for tinkering with retro machines this year. So in the end, this year turned out pretty well after all...

Re: What game are you playing now?

Let us know how it goes as you progress 👍 I am now 35 hours in and I really love the game. It's got a really slow start, though. I didn't like the gunplay at first, because all of the weapons were weak as hell. But the world really opened up in Act 2 (after 7 hours for me). Once I got more features …

Crysis …

Re: Post your 'current' PC

Some actually work better if they use both CPUs. Cloudpunk is a good example for that. I only tweak the affinity if the game runs really bad. It's kind of funny - I can understand why Eastshade didn't like it. But EA's Harry Potter was also really struggling and that's a Quake1 engine game. 😁

Re: EU votes for Right to Repair

From the first glance, this looks like an amazing idea. But being a citizen of Germany, I'm pretty sure it won't do a lot of good. The EU wanted to make sure we had the USB standard for chargers, too - but in the end, certain companies like Apple just provided a USB adapter for their own connectors …
