Roland SD-35 floppy drive mod

I have one of these in very good condition. I looked at the floppy drive and from what I have found it's a standard 1.44MB high density drive like any other. I purchased a GOTEK USB floppy drive emulator unit which I have used successfully on other items but I can't seem to get it to work on the SD- …

What MIDI sound modules do you enjoy listening to?

After spendng some time with the ones that I have, I would say that the Yamaha MU2000EX is definitely my favorite. I have mine loaded with three PLG150 expansion cards but even without those I would still say it's the best sounding one that I own. I have the optical output going to a nice sound bar …

If the encoders are that cheap then I should only be paying right around $100 as I …

Re: MIDI over Bluetooth

I was using an iphone 6 for this round of testing which I would assume supports these bluetooth standards. I have some bluetooth 4.0 USB adapters coming in soon which specifically support LE so I will be doing a round of testing in Windows with those when they come in.

Re: MIDI over Bluetooth

OK, I did some testing with these and they did not work out for me. I could not get them recognized as a usable device. The app that you use to manage these do allow you to rename them and update the firmware if needed but it never gets the device into a usable condition. I might play around with …
