It is how they designed the PCB and programming produces best results. I'm trying to find some video cards to play with to find out why getting lines in the LCD monitors as I do have scope. What video cards that does produces lines? Cheers,

Darry, Make sure you have storage disk (not removable) bit set in CF cards. That shows the issues I had with CF cards. Find 2GB or 4GB CF and do a test on a slot 1 machine, by using DOS and prepare them for bootable and if they boot in DOS, might work in your VS-880EX. Ones that works: Transcend …

Monitors will *need* capacitors checked with ESR meter and replaced any that is exhausted (tired). Electronic repair shop who remembers fixing CRT monitors apply. Cheers,

When I'm looking at ET4000AX video cards, some of them have 3 ROM chips, along with RAMDAC IC. They usually have H and L ROM ICs but also have third ROM that starts with "X...." , what does these X Rom does? Performance? Or help with compatibility? Cheers,

Even at 700C this should not do that with most soldering stations using typical tips around 40-70W, mine is 90W and couldn't get that kind of damage. It looked like very, old fashioned, powerful heavy soldering iron was used. Cheers,

Bought 2 power supplies. One is so monstrous PSU for 525W with fan of 120mm in one end, this is actual PSU for intel xtended xpress motherboard. That PSU is so rare but so helpful for me to document the working and document the connectors pin-outs properly! So others can play with xtended xpress …

hard drive is not prepared properly. Need to be done on same motherboard, delete the old partitions and recreate partitions, format it then install DOS or windows 98 SE. Cheers,
