Personally, I think the judging factor for this decision is which version you prefer the most. If you like Windows 95 better for any reason (i.e. you prefer its IE-less Explorer shell) and your system has support for it, go with 95. If you prefer Windows 98 or find that your system has better …

I'd say it should at least be good at 2D Windows games and most DOS games. A few DOS games don't play well with ATI and Matrox cards, but those problematic games are mainly older EGA side scrollers that should still work on hardware that's older than what you'll be using this card in. Does the GeForce4 440 Go have Win98SE drivers btw? Now time to find one that works that isn't a ridic price. Currently, my favorite PC racing games are Speed Haste and Monster Truck Madness (both 1 and 2). I haven't played a lot of PC racing/flight games, so I might add more games to this thread later on.

256MB is a good amount of RAM for your system IMO, or 512MB if you'd like to max it out depending on your motherboard (don't go above that amount since Windows 98 doesn't like too much RAM).
