Rust-Oleum has some textured spray paints. Or you could take it to a body shop to have it powder coated. Would be a lot more durable! (and expensive)

Your board is slightly different from mine (mine's like the shape of Utah), but I can try to get pics of how mine is set up (and the RadioShack 4-cell AA holder that I modded to work as a 3-cell battery).

Some 386 boards are bad with 16-bit DMA transfers (like the M-321, where sometimes you can have reboots running DIAGNOSE). Try other HDMA channels; if you don't get satisfactory results, use the DMA channel for the HDMA channel (match HX to DX).

Yes, use a crossover cable between them. You can then use arp -a to find the IP for it by looking for the camera's physical address in the list.
