I vaguely remember having this a long time ago, maybe because the v2's were installed manually? Try to install them using setup in the driver package, not manually adding them in device manager. Try original drivers

In case someone was wondering, it's fixed. Cause was a loose (it was shifted, didn't spot it earlier) ceramic capacitor near the coil. Removed it and soldered it back in: all good!

So it was the networking card. Everything works when I put the other RTL8139D in the PC, even the shutdown freezes are solved now (thought 32-bit disk access caused that but apparently it doesn't). Strange that the faulty card works fine in my Windows 7 PC though. Anyway it's solved, thanks a lot!
