That's just the "DVD Kit," and even that would require you to have the other five CD's if you want any cutscenes. The fixes for the actual game are just a couple of small patches to the .exe file.

If you're using Firefox, there's an extension called ScrapBook that can do this. If you're not, I think a number of download managers have this crawling functionality, including wget; I use Free Download Manager when I need to do something like this.

That wrapper code seems to have been done away with for everything on Steam that uses DOSBox, meaning the Steam versions of those two games are indeed original DOS versions and have no copy protection whatsoever.

You can set 640x480 as the desktop resolution in the NVidia control panel; you might have to do it as a custom resolution (that's what I did with my 8800), but it'll work just fine. I never tried the editor on my Mac, so I can't help you there (although I've read that there simply is no way to get it to work on OS X unless you can use Classic). I do know of a third-party editor called StarFire that you might want to check out.

Oh, I can max the detail and still run Oblivion just fine, at least at 1280x1024 (which is all my monitor supports). However, I played the Crysis demo a few days ago; very pretty slide show. Might be time to start looking for upgrades again.
