Re: MOD Players working on a 286 ?

One of the first MOD players I know I used on my 286-16 was the WOW player as it supported my SB Pro back in the day that I had? I'm sure there were a few others I messed with but I do remember using that one quite a bit although I recall it wasn't a very accurate player.

Re: Frys electronics is Closing.

I really like Frys! The problem is that there weren't any near me physically. But anytime I visited relatives where they had one nearby they would go out of their way to take me there so I could look at stuff and maybe even stock up. Quite a bit of my electornics gadgets I have on my bench came from …

Re: MT32-PI and Roland UM-ONE

Yes I did notice it was 100 on start up but most games will lower it themselves. A manual rotary knob would be a great addition! Most Sierra games do this. In the game itself you have a volume adjustment and changing that should also show on the display for the MT-32 side of things. That is how it …

Re: Edirol SD-20 - Not working or just quirks?

I will see about taking it out of the loop and getting pics. There weren't a ton of caps as I recall but quite a few. I know that was a shotgun approach to things but as it wasn't working 100% anyway and I could see evidence of leakage on the board from some of them, I figured it couldn't hurt. …

Re: List of SC-55 clones/compatibles?

That's a PCMCIA card, right? Incidentally, does anyone know anything about the PMA-5? It appears to use the headphone jack as a combi jack for headphones/line out. Kinda of a cool gadget, but if the sound is worse than the other SC-55's, I don't need to be a completist. :) I've played around with a …

Re: List of SC-55 clones/compatibles?

Pretty sure that the MT-120, MT-200 and likely the MT-300 etc. are based on the original SC-55 sounds as well? I know that my MT-200 sounds the same as my SCB-55 I have? *There is one difference at least with my MT-200 compared to an SC-55. The MT-200 has a maximum tempo of 250bpm whereas I assume …

Re: Roland MT-200

I've not manage to locate the original disks that came with the MT-200 as strangely they do NOT appear to have been archived that I can find. The FW that was loaded on mine is a later version known for the MT-200 but also seems more generic as it just says Sequencer Sound Module when it boots up and …

Re: Roland MT-200

I've not heard of the diagnostic menu not being able to be brought up. Far as I know the key presses for bringing it up work on all variants of the MT-200 and like similar on the MT-120 and other models? You should be able to stop, rewind, etc when a midi file is playing. I'm able to without issue …

Re: Problem with Munt+Dosbox

you are seeing wavetable snyth because that is the default that Windows loads up and that is the only one that is appearing for DosBox to be able to use and access. You will likely need to find some additional software that will allow you to remap the midi device in windows to the MUNT emulator. On …
