Re: Need for Speed 5: Porsche 2000/Unleashed

The Glide version works fine. I could reproduce the jerky mouse with the D3D version and found a minor bug in the mouse emulation. Plz try the attached version. It works really smooth for me now. If it's ok then I'll re-release 2.55.3. http://dege.fw.hu/temp/dgVoodoo2_55_3_mousefix.zip I think it …

Re: NFS II SE problems on notebook

This "NFS2SE (Glide/3dfx version) locks with black screen before video" problem is partially fixed with 2.55.3 version 8) Game now works with both dgVoodoo 2.55.3 glide2x.dll AND ddraw.dll in game dir BUT: - on Glide tab in dgVoodoo config you have to select "Max" in Resolution otherwise nfs2sea.exe …

Re: Need for Speed 5: Porsche 2000/Unleashed

Just to mention that nothing is changed with dgVoodoo 2.55.3 regarding this - game is UNPLAYABLE with 2.55.x version because you can't click anywhere on menu. Mouse jumps from one side of screen to another, skips, shutters, clicking is not registered. Switching to 2.54 works like charm but that …

Re: Need for Speed 5: Porsche 2000/Unleashed

I can confirm unresponsive menu problem in this game also... Just to mention that you can solve this game not reporting all resolutions (or not reporting resolutions at all) with ExtraEnumeratedResolutions and DefaultEnumeratedResolutions=classics combination... Edit: also to confirm that …

Re: NFS II SE problems on notebook

I finally figured out why debug did not worked for me...in my compatibility .sdb I used IgnoreDebugOutput for both .exes :dead: Maybe you could mention this on your instructions for debug version Dege, could save some people pulling their hair out why debug is blank.. Anyway, here's my log files, …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

Yes, it supports all resolutions that graphics adapter can use. Developers just did not count that in the future there could be that many available resolutions to choose from...so they limited game setup resolution list to fixed number of entries (every resolution that graphic adapter lists after …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

Ok Guys, thanks for the feedback and thoughts. I think keywords are only useful for giving the possibility for restricting the number of resos in a hardware-independent way. For all other cases, one can edit the config file and type the resolutions for their current display hardware. So, to keep it …

Re: NFS II SE problems on notebook

NFS2EA imports both Glide and DirectDraw. Don't you have a ddraw.dll in the game folder from a previous dgVoodoo version? No, but that's it! Problem is not in glide2x.dll of dgVoodoo 2.55.x but in ddraw.dll from 2.55.x. I always copied both glide2x.dll AND ddraw.dll to NFS2SE game dir...after …

Re: NFS II SE problems on notebook

Hi Dege, you changed something in 2.55+ versions in dgVoodoo and NFS2SE don't work anymore with glide2x.dll. Results of my testing (nVidia GTX 1070, Win7 x64 + needed compatibility modes), clean dgVoodoo configuration (deleted dgVoodoo.conf before starting game): version 2.54 - works perfectly, …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

How did you install Forsaken on Windows 10? Yes, it's a pain to install it...you can't install it on 64-bit Windows directly from CD because of 16-bit InstallShield setup but I guess you replaced that setup.exe with 32 bit version already. No compatibility mode was needed during install BUT install …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

Ok, it seems that I did not understood what Dege meant with "max"...I thought that max is something like "max monitor resolution" or "current desktop resolution".... Because current desktop resolution is only thing what I would like to have here. I can see the use of settings you and Dege are …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

So, for keywords, what about the logic that we could define the max resolution for a given aspect ratio, and also its halved. tierced, etc. variants. For example, 'max_4_3', 'max_4_3_div2'. Or it all is unneeded and doesn't worth anything? :) I think this is overkill and it will only make confusion …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

Thank you very much for your reply Dege! However I like my "excluding" idea even less now...defining limit in ascending order will only help for games that crash on high number of reported resolutions (and then we will probably be stuck on lower playable resolution than it can be achieved)... But it …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

What would make a lot more sense to me would be to add a "native" option to be used in ExtraEnumeratedResolutions, so you could have this: ExtraEnumeratedResolutions = 640x480,1280x720,1920x1080,native That way you have 640x480 if the game needs it for menus (for example), 1280x720 & 1920x1080 for …

Re: Forsaken - too many resolutions

Sorry ZellSF but you missed my "use case" completely. Yes, I can play game if I do as I described...but the point is I can't make this **universal** fix. Everytime I want to start this on another computer one has to "read how-to-do-it manual" to make this work. I like to repack my old games for …

Forsaken - too many resolutions

Forsaken 1.01 works on Windows 10 with dgVoodoo 2.55 (and only with dgVoodoo on Win 10) BUT 32bit mode is limited to 800x600x32. After many wasted hours trying to figure this out I found out that I can override that with DisableDefaultResolutions = true and by adding wanted resolution under …
