Don't give up yet. There are numerous things you can try. -Check for shorts -Reflash bios (get a programmer) -Check RTC crystal -Check capacitors -Try a POST diagnostics card, maybe you get a helpful reading CR2032 is fresh/full enough I presume?

Good work! Mine is still waiting for new memory chips, along with a working Matrox donor. I'll aim for 16MB while I'm at it. The first two attempts were not successful since I lack some soldering skills.

They say Scorched Earth uses the FPU as well. Since a few days I know by coincidence that it runs smooth and fast on a 286 12.5 MHz + i80287XL. And I'm planning to do a short video if there is indeed a difference noticable with/without the FPU installed.

Since there aren't AMD 387 processors, I would look for a Cyrix Fasmath. Or an Intel 387, but then you need a 66MHz cyristal as well. And remove the semi-permanent jumper and put it in Async mode. Ok, so if i found a 387-40 i can just add it and dont need more modification? Is it also so simple …

About the external battery, the case can hold up to 2 coins, one cr2032 is installed. What are the second for? NTP-OTA 😁 Nice card! The 10MHz signal should not be hard to receive with just a piece of wire in the BNC connector. Maybe I can get time synchronization to work with my Winradio WR-1000i.
