Yeah, I missed the information. Then I need to correct it. It is possible but still it will be slow as hell. Windows 98 will be years ahead. Probably Windows NT 4 will be faster as well (and rock solid!).

@up - P266MMX - this is completely different architecture. It is much more modern and similar to current CPUs than 486. If the @op would ask about targeting i586 architecture, then my answer would be different 😀

In Poland we got sick prices. Starting with ~40$ but most of them are priced at 80$ and there are number of boards for about 150$ 😀 It is quite rare product. We got mostly SOCKET 7 boards (but also quite expensive).

Thats lot o money for a hobby 😀 I've found a guy who offers me the replacing of that chips for about 26 USD. Moreover I need to buy both chips and it will costs me 18.9. Thats total 45 USD. Is it worth doing that? I don't have even guarantee that it will work.

I just discovered that the chipset legs are burnt and probably needs to resolder it. The chipset is probably dead. The whole motherboard is dead as ****. Ok, then I have to wait for it. Tag ram should be received this week. 😀 TAG RAM chip is MT5C2568-20 MICRON 9245 DIP28 which is 32K x 8 SRAM SRAM MEMORY ARRAY. L2 cache is 4 x UM61512AK-15 (64K X 8 BIT HIGH Speed CMOS SRAM). I plan to upgrade L2 to 512 KB if the board will work with 256KB.
