Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

Ok, so I’ve just spent the last 45 mins searching for compact stereo line mixers that I ‘assume’ will fit the bill for my needs... here’s what I’ve found: - IMG Stageline MMX-30 - Omnitronic LH-026 - RDL EZ-MX4L - Rolls MX51s Minimix II (noticed that Goat also found this, above) - Anleon MX200 Of …

Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

I ended up going with x2 6 port audio switch boxes (Lynepaudio, think thats how you pronounce it) - have those on order from AliExpress. They’ll be fed into a new powered mini mixer I just picked up - Art Macromix. This will then feed out to my iLoud powered speakers. All-being-well, I’m hoping …

Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

Ok I’ve got a couple of audio switch boxes on order to separate the input types (MIDI gear vs PC’s). On the mixer front, the volume loss from the Splitmix 4 is crazy so I was thinking I have a couple of options: 1) Replace the Art Splitmix with a powered mixer - something like the Edirol M-10MX …

Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

I’m considering getting a couple of the 3.5mm audio switch boxes I linked above. Is there an inherently bad reason I should avoid 3.5mm in favour of going for switch boxes that have RCA inputs/ outputs? I’m just thinking of saving on cable sprawl thats all? 😃 Cost and size mainly. Your games aren't …

Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

Does the following look ok in terms of how things might be connected... realise there are potentially lots of ways of doing this, including having a mixer with lots more channels, routing sound modules back through sound cards etc etc.... any advice very much appreciated 😀

Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

Does the following audio switch box look ok: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Speaker-Switch-Box-Switcher-Selector-6-Way-Port-3-5mm-Stereo-Audio-Signal-Box/333443598668?hash=item4da2c9894c:g:PEAAAOSwRs1d-wnT Awfully impractical design with in/outputs at 90 degrees to controls. That aside, this is a …

Re: Dreamblaster works in the Korg NS5R :)

afaik the NX5R has the yamaha board already installed, that's what differentiates the NX5R from the NS5R in the first place. so to use a dreamblaster you'd have to remove that, rather save the dreamblaster for something else? ^^ Well that's what I thought, but the one I just bought doesn't have …

Re: 6 or 8 channel audio mixer

Cheers guys - that’s EXACTLY what I’m wanting to do - for example mix both ESS audiodrive (that also has a dreamblaster attached) and SB Live output from my Windows 98 build, but then also route out onboard sound from my Windows 7 build (HP T610 running DOSBox) with the connected MIDI modules ( …

Re: Dreamblaster works in the Korg NS5R :)

Great thread... I've just ordered a second hand NX5R and I already have a Dreamblaster S2... 2 questions: 1) Will adding this to my NX5R do any damage (based on the power issue described above) or would it even work.... 2) What are the real advantages of adding one of these in? It obviously wouldn't …

Re: Yamaha TG-100 / TG-300 and MT-32 mode

Are there any other devices you know of besides these that have full MT-32 compatibility? Yes, there was another one from Roland with a built-in sequencer using some odd disk format (QD or something). Can't remember the model of that, though. I'll post here once I remember. btw, once you get your …

6 or 8 channel audio mixer

Hi guys, I want to be able to connect my retro kit up to an audio mixer with more than 4 channels (currently using Art SplitMix 4 which suffers massive volume loss due to it being passive). I've got 3 retro PC's and also 3 sound modules What are my options for something that doesn't take up the …
