Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi Ronald and fellow DBGL aficionados, I've 'been away' on other matters, and can see that much has been happening since I last lurked by this thread about 6 months ago. Recently I've become intrigued with the "portable" application packaging process for Win10 environments especially, and having …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi again Ronald - just a "heads up" but when downloading your 64-bit DBGL.JAR zip file either from the DBGL website (e.g., jar090.zip) or from your private update site (e.g., jar091beta3.zip) I *always* get a zip header error when tested using 7-zip. I only found this when over-writing working dbgl. …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi again ronald, I don't know if anyone else has been having problems with your latest jar090.zip offered here (http://members.quicknet.nl/blankendaalr/dbgl/download/jar090.zip), but I am still getting header errors with the download, as I reported earlier. Might that particular file need …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

SUCCESS! Replacing the dbgl/lib folder with the contents of /lib in the new dbgl090.zip folder (together with its dbgl.jar which was extracted earlier) now gives me the full DBGL 0.90 update. Thanks so much, ronald :) P.S. Your 'Access' [XX] v5.02 dos shell still rocks on our families Toshiba 430CDS …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

...thank you for those pointers! Here's the output from dbglcons.cmd: C:\DBGL>java -Djava.library.path=lib -jar dbgl.jar || pause Launching DBGL using 64-Bit VM 1.8.0_221 on Windows 10 v10.0amd64, HSQL Database Engine 1.8.1.3, SWT v4924win32 Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi ronald - I had forgotten completely about also replacing the dbgl/lib folder contents when using the jar from the dbgl090.zip - I'll try that now. I have the error output from the cmd terminal - will have to use the "reply" option rather than this "quick reply" for that 😀

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi and thanks again ronald for your fresh updates on DBGL. Unfortunately I keep getting errors with your new update v0.90 dbgl.jar you have uploaded to your site. It's a header error in the zip files that I have repeatedly downloaded, and will not work when extracted over the last-previous alpha …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks very much Ronald - that workaround you suggested for the swt64.jar file worked a treat, cheers! In my pre-existing dbgl v0.82b setup, I simply downloaded your latest Alpha6 dbgl.jar and overwrote the previous version, and then also inserted the new and renamed "swtlin64.jar" I downloaded from …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi Ronald - great job with dbgl90 alpha 4 (now 5), many thanks! Working well in Win10pro where I set it up on a fresh install and was able to import a few of my collections from a 32-bit Puppy Linux setup (dbgl82), and finally complete some retrievals from the Moby database etc. Back in the Puppy …
