Okay, so I got me a brand new 2 Gb CF card and plugged it in. It detects as type 65, as it should, but after I boot, it just hangs with a blinking dot in the upper left corner. I think I might have wrong BIOS boot (PC setup). Could you provide a link to the correct download?

Great job on replacing the motherboard capacitors..... what did you use to unsolder them with? Figure, if and when i t came time for me to do the same with my motherboards and/or video cards, this unsoldering gun seems top notch, albeit expensive, but highly worth it from the YT videos i've seen. …

I'd start with replacing the battery. I have had many a motherboard in the past refuse to post with a dead battery. I also have a Compaq presarrio 4402 aio that will not post if it's battery is dead. Really? I thought a dead CMOS battery just won´t save BIOS settings. If this is true, I could´ve …

Well, this solution wasn´t as streamlined as I hoped. These two cards can indeed work as I originally intended: Live in Windows and Solo-1 in DOS.
