Re: Emulating MT-32 on an RPi2

Nice, I've got an spare Raspi3+ laying around, because I build a real home server and don't need my Raspi-server anymore. Does Munt got a API for user inputs? Its no problem to add a letter LCD and some buttons to the Pi, so it could look and feel more like the real MT-32, as long as Munt would …

Re: Dunuins Win98 PC

Pics please I will do, just waiting for 3 packages to arrive. A ti 4200 is a great card for windows 98 Ti4600 is a great card but not budget friendly, the 4200 will be just as good in real life performance and don't attract the premium the 4600 does. I bought two identical "Medion GF Ti 4200" …

Re: Searching for a CRT monitor

That are BNC inputs and it has up to 1800x1440px. Sounds like a Trinitron. Thats kind of Monitor I used im the late 90s as a child, hust a bit bigger. Get it if it is free 😀 But if it is a Trinitron, it is heeeeavy. Edit: 31.5 kg is written in the manual^^

Re: best windows 98 agp card

Ok, thanks :) I looked at some old benchmarks and it seems like the Ti4200 is the closest "affordable" card compared to the GF3 Ti 500. Nearly the same speed in the games they tested and even faster in most synthetic benchmarks. I never see any GF3 Ti500 and the slower GF3 TI 200 cards are priced at …

Dunuins Win98 PC

Hi, I'm now working on my (affordable) Dream Win98-Retro-PC. I also got an Win7 and WinXP "Retro" PC and I plan to build an DOS and maybe a Win95 PC too, so the target should be to get the best performance and compability for games from 1995-2001 (Win95 to WinXP era) or atleast 1997-2001. Back in …

Re: best windows 98 agp card

If I can't get my old X850XT running with Win98SE, what would be a good and cheap GPU? My favorite would be a Geforce 3 TI 500 with 128MB RAM because it was the fastest card before WinXP was released, so I tried to buy the best hardware I could afford from 2001. I looked at ebay and Geforce Ti 4200 …

Re: Searching for a CRT monitor

Its too sad they don't build CRTs anymore...20 years ago as a child I played my games on an Iiyama Vision Master 450 CRT (BNC input, 19", flat screen, Trinitron, 1600x1200px@90Hz) but when I'm now searching for Trinitrons they want hundereds of Euros. I see people in my city willing to pay 1000€ for …

Re: Radeon X850XT and Windows 98SE problems

I've got the exact same problem. I installed IE6 SP1, .NET-Framework 1.1 & 2.0, DirectX 9.0c, all drivers, patched the latest BIOS and updated windows to the latest version. It runs fine in 2D with the default windows drivers and I get no error while installing all Win98 compatible catalyst drivers …
