The only time I have issues with installing drivers for sound blaster is when I dont have the exact driver it likes. I recently installed a SB Live on my pentium 3 and I was using the wrong driver and it did the same freezing during installation.

I've been playing The Simpsons Hit and Run on my Pentium 4 Win XP machine. Im on level 5 of 7. Trying to 100 percent each level before moving on. Very fun game , great graphics and sound . :) i have an old copy for ps2 - its fun and agree it looks and plays really well, but i'm not much good at it! …

Very cool. I love testing different cards. I have settled on a build for my P4 though and I'm using an NVIDIA Quadro FX 5600 1.5 Gig card. I was also testing different drivers, and im not sure if im fully settled on the driver yet. That´s a very beefy card for a P4 based system. To much card for it …

Got my Pentium 4 Set up and running in the new place. PLayed some Quake 3 on it, ran 3D mark 2001.
