Sorry just edited the post, what Im actually trying to do is switch it OFF. And yes Im doing that on windows, no clue whats going wrong...

Im trying to do this so I can play games with DOSbox but it doesnt seem to work. Everytime I uncheck the square of a folder that is set to read only it seems to reset the configuration right away and it doesnt change. Is there something Im doing wrong?
