I've got one SD card for Windows 98 and one for Windows XP. The only trick that I found is it only has 1 ISA slot, so I can't use my ISA SB16 and ISA HardMPU-401 cards at the same time. Hi All, I wanted to give an update on my progress. Thanks for the feedback and the support from the wiki, it's been helpful. I ended up finding an Asus P3V4X complete in box, so I went ahead and replaced the Abit BX-6. I'm now rocking my PIII 933mhz at proper 133mhz FSB along with 1.5 GB SD133 RAM. …

Update: I slapped the kid sideways via a message and he gave me a refund and changed the title on his misleading 9800 Pro. Too bad I already reported the misleading title to eBay for fraudulent practices. 😀 😀 😀

I would still try looking into other problems the card may have. wile many 9700's have died from overheating and failed BGAs, that may not be the problem, althoug it is likely the prob,en given the fan does not spin . There could be a missing SMD or cut trace somewhere. Or the RAMDAC could be bad …

Yeah, re pasting isn't going to help. I've been through enough 9700 Pro's that have died. Something in that card is shot, be it memory or the core. Thanks, I just repasted it and confirmed it's dead. Thanks all! I have tried messing with the timings and VDIMM. Since I don't have registered memory, I'll just stick with the 1GB at 100mhz. It's plenty powerful for what I need. (Late 90s/Early 2000s)

Thanks for the great feedback as usual darry! Somehow I missed your first 2 posts, so my apologies. I will let you know how things go, I'm currently benchmarking Asheron's Call with various combinations of CPU/RAM/Clock speed and I'll be sure to share those when done.
