So I found a thread elsewhere stating that a radeon 9700 pro is the fastest card that will run on 2x AGP slot. Might be worth picking one up?

+1 for the rig. -1 for the disco lights. Kidding aside - good stuff. It may be better to strap a proper pro grade graphics card. Wildcat Realism / 5### series (or whatever is the highest AGP compatible), or Oxygen, or FireGL 2/3, Quadro FX 4000. Prices are still ok since retro gamers skip them. …

it's nice. I have a tdz2000 case, blue color thats missing a part as well. Not a side panel but a right side bottom skirt/fender molding. And I don't have the guts just the case. Someday I want to 3dprint a the part for it, but the cost is too high so ya It's probably never going to be built. …

Retro Zx10 Project... finally complete :) So this PC came without side panel so figured it's a good opportunity to pimp it up some! The panel is made from 1mm folded steel sheet with perspex window. I now have 6 128MB chips installed + 2 terminators so all slots are full. Thank you, SIV did OK, but only reported 4 DIMMs as the SMBIOS only reports 4 DIMMs, see [Machine] . Maybe some issues are down to having DIMMs in Bank 1, once you have re-arranged the DIMMs I wonder how many DIMMs the SMBIOS …

Wasn't this Tyan board sold primarily as an OEM product for workstation use? Also, it seems to have something of a history of being super-picky over RAM. Not sure, but I coulnt find chipset drivers on the net. They were also used in a graphics orientated rack I believe. The tyan manual says ram …

Yes, please ZIP and attach the two SIV save files. So yep ive run SIV as attached. I now have 6 128MB chips installed + 2 terminators so all slots are full. This fixed the complaint from bios on boot but has not solved the strange system freezing issue. Interestingly SIV correctly reports 768MB …

Found a couple of old bits in my stash... P5 sx950 66mhz and some wierd old risc based hp processor board with 3x gold topped procs on it. A nice bit of bling but Ive nothing to plug them into!

Spent some time in the old 98 fdisk util - ah the nostalgia and excitement :) , installed 98/xp, and spent the rest of day rebooting and poking around in control panel/bios trying to get the thing working properly !#$@! Ha all sorted 😀 It seemed to be the usb device that was causing xp install to hang at "setup is starting" so disabling this in bios got the install running and enabling in post install picked it up along with the attached device.
