Its the same on my system too, this means there are large chunks of the game that you'll have to do without saving...including the tomb bit.

I get that stuck key thing too, also with VDMS I found the videos were jumpier with low-level MSCDEX than without, and disabling VESA support helped out a bit funnily enough.

I thought they only ever released on CD - with both DOS and Windows on it. I have been running mine in Windows XP but I havent tried saving or restoring so far.

I haven't tried it with any Windows games so far, but the latest Moslo4Biz has a seperate executable for DOS programs and Windows programs, along with different ways of setting the speed including telling it to act like a 100 MHz computer. I somehow lost my copy of P2 so I cant test it here.

It works in XP too? Ok, I'll download that and give it a shot. Oh I see its part of the toolkit, well I tried it too and the two switches you mentioned were checked already among others but no luck its still the same.

I tried the toolkit but unfortunately it doesnt work, it seems its a bit different on my system as I cant even get to the menu, it just flashes black then grey then desktop when I load it.

Does anyone know how to enable hardware acceleration in M&M7? The official tech support didnt help much and I couldnt find a solution on any other forums. It just wont run unless all hardware (video and sound) is disabled but then it looks terrible. Its strange that it was made for DirectX 4 or 5 …

There is some sound in MI2 like the spitting contest or the spitting guy in the bar in Woodtick, mostly spitting noises really 😉 If you're not sure then set up a batch file that says "monkey2 s" and it'll work if its going to (the s is for soundblaster).
