Re: Running online DRM games offline guide

For Portal 2 (Build v7293 was last build I tested) on Vista and above I use the command "portal2.exe -steam", also drop the .dll in the bin folder. As far as Goldberg version it shouldn't matter. I want to say Vista compatibility is broken but 7 should still be fine and I haven't yet had to revert …

Re: Running online DRM games offline guide

@DosFreak what version of Goldberg did you use with Portal 2 to get it to work? I copied the install folder from Windows 7 that does have Steam installed to Windows 10 that doesn't have Steam installed and tried the latest Goldberg and version 0.2.5 but no dice, errors out after the valve intro and …

Re: Win98SE CD-RW utilities?

IIRC, some older versions of ImgBurn did work on Win98SE. That's a freeware program which has all the CD writing features that one could possibly need. The latest (last) version should work even with Win95, direct quite from the main page: ImgBurn supports all the Microsoft Windows OS's - Windows …

Audigy 2 ZS drivers do include an EQ, if you used a full driver cd to install the drivers but are still missing it you must have unticked the part that includes it. If you downloaded a driver package from creative I don't think that includes much more than just the driver.

If we're making suggestions, I can highly recommend the CGW museum. It has all issues of Computer Gaming World, from the 80s to the mid 2000s: https://www.cgwmuseum.org/ The magazine mostly deals with game reviews, but there are some nice articles talking about popular hardware at the time (e.g. …

I was a huge PlayStation fan back in the 90's, got into PC gaming early 2000's and sold my PS1 and all my games. Around ~2010 I started missing my favorite PS1 games and that was the start of it all, it went like this: First I started using PS1 emulator (ePSXe) and downloaded games from the net. PAL …
