Is there any way to draw FPS overlay over DOS games, just like you can with fraps 1.9 over Windows 98 games?

I am now set on a ESLA Victory 3DX (S3 Virge/DX 4MB) I have tried the card emulated in PCem and liked it. If I won't like it, I will spend more on a better card at later date. it's not about building the best gaming PC of the Era, it's about the experience along the way and I bet I will have fun …

So new development I can get that that All-In-Wonder ATI Rage 3D Pro for 25€ or I can bid on Vibra DX 4MB (which does start Resident Evil 1, and my S3 Trio 64 2MB does not) I just wondering if the Rage 3D Pro Turbo AGP worth it. like it's about 620 czk, and that is still more than I am comfortable. …

I am going to buy an ISA soundcard and I will go back to Windows 98 SE; I was just trying if Windows 2000 would even run.

I think there is a diference between a video card - 2D capable display device 3D accelerator - either a card that can do 3D and 2D on its own, or as a Voodoo an addon 3D card. Graphics card / GPU - Modern Video Card AGP/PCIe in modern systems. I'm kind of tired of the 3D card that are like barely …

My local market is Czech Republic, and at this point I kinda want to snag any Virge/3D rage just something to play around with.

even with 96MB of ram the PC does not boot back to windows anymore 😒 so I do really need an older soundcard.

So S3 Virge PCI and ATI 3D Rage 2c PCI wouldn't make my pc much faster, would it? I read the Rage 2c supports DirectX 5 but I probably would like something even faster than that. I think what I want might not be possible in a PCI graphics card. That is Direct X 7.

it's funny to me the term 3D accelerator and Graphics are two different things, I am so used to that all Graphics cards go either into the AGP or PCI-Express slot. But I need to Find a Graphics Accelerator that goes into the Vanila PCI slot and is decently fast, but all of them are really slow or …

Okay I won't buy the 19" CRT than The CRT in question was "Fujistu Siemens MCM 19P1N" the LCD I have is a "EIZO FlexScan L367" I also have one more monitor "HP 1740" (I wonder if this one can do low resolutions well)

Right now, I am using some really sad 1024x768 LCD panel that does display low dos resolutions but when it does it also displays a box that complains about vertical ro horizontal sync and the box does not go away, but the picture appears just fine. I like high refresh rate so 160Hz sounds sweet, but …
