That's one average reading. What's that one core thrashing away at 5ghz at? If it's 100c and 7 others are 25 that's 375/8=46. At that level of difference it's likely some core protection smarts kicks in. Again, dos runs 100% all the time. Grab any old pc, sit it in the bios and the fans will …

Feels like an overheat condition. Try running... I forget the name, but "cool n quiet" was its descendent. The problem with dos on new machines is it can't shuffle around to different cores and it likes to run flat out even doing nothing. So it could develop a single hot core and some sort of on die …

If you really want to test it, try a windows 10 install updated to no later than ~nov 2023. I played through titanium to the end back then. I can't think what else has changed but maybe the environment it's in.

I built a bootable dos based "service pack" iso for winme. It's built off the very diligent work of iMic on ocau. ~5mins to patch ME up to the level of his automated, but slower installer. It's crude and hacky, and needs proper testing, but it seems to work. https://forums.overclockers.com.au/ …

IF it doesn't work, there is one odd difference between the 2 960 variants. For whatever reason the 960 versions take different paths in this inf. I chose one at random. Ok, so find every reference to that number in all the infs. As a quick hack for testing, you can try just replacing that number with yours in all of them and see if it works. If yes, you can either look deeper and figure out what is different, or just save it and move on.

So yes, you are running the text portion of the setup. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't need drivers, but maybe look for a slipstreamed sp3 iso. Sp3 should be well after the kt133.

Oh, I didn't mean find an actual card. I meant find the known working card in the inf files and follow what they do.
