Nvidia drivers often force 2X on chipsets not made by Intel. On AGP 4x chipsets other than Intel's, 4x is usually unreliable. I think you are right. I found on asus.com a reg file to enable agp 4x with nVidia GPU but it doesn't work... :-( Maybe I have to change the graphics card or the motherboard …

Just a few thoughts regarding the issues in this thread: 1. If you want to run FSB200 or above, make sure to buy a v2.0 board or an -E Deluxe. The old A7N8X v1.x only got the old NF2 (non-Ultra 400) chipset. Asus released some bios versions which should allow for 200Mhz for the old boards though. I …

Another thing there may not be an awareness of on older boards is that you can't walk the FSB all the way up, if you have PCI and AGP cards that don't like to be on overclocked buses, because the board will not kick in the right dividers for them....
