My ASUS P3B-F Rev. 1.04 has an Award 6.0 BIOS - surprisingly, it uses EPA Version 1 - the text-mode encoding. Could be that older Award BIOSes (<4.51) fade out the logo. I don't know if I have a board with such an old BIOS version.
