Success! Reflowing the legs on the memory ICs for the TMU took care of the corruption! Looking and working great now! If anyone knows the value of that L9 filter - let me know! Thanks!

I measured all the components on two Voodoo 2 cards, and the OG Voodoo has the same RAMDAC. https://www.vogons.org/viewtopic.php?t=73378 Aha, I hadn't spotted that thread and seen that you have the tools and the knowledge to test these parts accurately - very cool! I'm only using one of those …

ok, thermocouple numbers are in! On top of the heatsink at the die, ambient temp 71F No Fans: 136F stable during GLQuake Fans: 86F stable during GLQuake Results!

First pint attempt came out nice. The clips on the lower edge bump up against the adjacent PCI slot unfortunately. This was my take on for cooling my Voodoo3's about 3 years ago but never ended up 3D printing it as my printer has been broken since. it uses two Noctua NF-A4x10 and two 3D printed parts screwed together and the whole assembly just snapped on the stock heatsink with tabs without any modifications …

Chadti99 - would you be able to dump the bios from the S3 Diamond SE VLB card and post it here or upload it to the vgamuseum? I have a card that's missing the bios. I think we can probably just use the same bios as the PCI cards use, but would be curious to compare 😀

With TopTek Golden Sound Card Pro Deluxe, depending on jumper J3, the soundcard would either be 220 and the cd 320, or the soundcard 240 and cd drive 340. Thanks to this post and some more troubleshooting I finally have a working CDU33A 😀 Thanks All!

Thank you all for the details! one last question I do have is the sony 34 pin interface for the cdrom- does this require drivers or should that just work? i'm guessing it needs drivers. it's one of the old 2x drives -cdu33a drives.

@cyberdyne - good point, it does look physically similar to the soundblaster 2.0 too other than the various old school (sony, mitsumi, panasonic) cd drive interfaces.
