If you have a modern-ish graphic card with hdmi, run SBEMU /SCL to see if it is not trying to output to this HDA device. I have finally fixed the problem by using the /o0 command line parameter. Everything now works fine. Tested on Doom and Duke3D. I now have a true DOS with sound on a Ryzen …

So I did a test with MPXPLAY, and the result was the same as with SBEMU. The software works perfectly, with no error messages, but no sound.
