Thanks for the reply! Here is the ugly story. I got ahold of a diagram with a 24 pin and 20 pin side by side. All of the voltages match for the 20. I could not get the Dell to power on using pin 4 (power on) to a common. I was able to do so on a modern ATX PSU using a fan as a load and it worked. …

I was also thinking of getting a hardware mixer like a mackie 5 channel which might at least mask the buzzing when every thing is off. It’s very slight.

I wondered about the stereo. I thought the older SB 1.5’s were mono, but they clearly have 2 jumpers for amplified vs. line out. I’ll look around for the ready made devices you mentioned.

The software mixer does work with the nova16. There is a different driver set used for the straight nova16 but the vogons drivers section has them. What you will want to do is download the aztech drivers archived, find the nova16 folder, and then open the readme. From there you will want to match …
