the answer i suspect is buried in your question! crank up the cycles in the dosbox config and/or increase the frameskip in the dosbox config. settlers 2 is known to run slowly so it might just be something you'll have to get used to.

The game itself runs fine but the mouse pointer is invisible which as its a P&C Adventure is extremely bloody frustrating! the pointer works fine in the setup proggy but just not in the main game. any ideas??? TiA
