Have you tried the non steam , GoG version And do you want to play the game or get it working on win98se As dosbox will let you throttle the speed in increments until you’re satisfied with the game speed I still have the original disc but can’t remember if it’s the dos version or the tweaked win95 …

Has anyone tinkered much with the newly available Retroarch iOS I’ve been playing with some of the basic stuff it came with and added some nes,snes,Psx, gba and n64 games but can’t figure out how to add additional bios cores. Would like to add dosbox pure and Xbox

@cosmic wouldn’t 64bit hardware cause compatibility issues and wouldn’t it butcher your cpu as well? Out there question is your power switch on the psu or a board connection if it’s the board connection can you bypass the switch to turn it on? Is it possible you have a duff switch?

I’ve had the same issue different motherboard I’ve resolved it with installing the sata controllers with F6 at install and was installing win xp sp2 too, In my bios there was also a setting for os install but don’t know if it did anything.

Finally got xp running on this build with the sata harddrive needed to load the sata controllers and piss about with the hdd for the install to finally accept the hdd. Next challenge is installing win 98 on both computers but boot disks aren’t working on an actual computer but are on PCEM

I’ve read somewhere that xmp extreme memory profile can cause faults and shuts down computer no warning. Could be something that doom 2 taps into that nothing else does Might be worth looking into.
