I believe it used the same cables as to what Samsung had, as well as some other early MP3 players. Everything I've found suggests that it used a 25 to 18 pin parallel cable, and this ebay photo shows the cable. Did you research it and your findings are different? https://i.ebayimg.com/images/g/ …

I don't see how you can build one, apart from the pinout (it uses a standard DB25 for the PC parallel port -> 18 pins) the connector on the player side also looks proprietary. The game requires the CD to be mounted in order to play the game. You could find a crack of it somewhere, I guess, which might fix the issues that you was having earlier; otherwise, try a different DOS emulator. In my opinion, the best DOS emulator would have to be DOSBox-X.

Never heard anything in regards to AMD. However, I will say that Intel had been hit with a class-action lawsuit for their faulty CPUs that they shipped out to customers.

You could try and find your Realtek audio chipset here: https://soggi.org/drivers/realtek.htm This page contains plenty of supported drivers for Windows 98. If your hardware is newer, it is unlikely to work unless you install a 3rd-party driver like UNISOUND, as somebody mentioned above.
