...exporting profiles always results in an error message stating "null is an invalid node value" happens whether I try to export the profiles only or the games with it and always results in a 0 kb file inside 'export\' Can you please run DBGL using dbglcons.cmd and share the stacktrace output from …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi all, 0.93 beta2 is now available with the following changes: * No longer crash DBGL on DOSBox configuration mismatch, just log the problem and disable the controls (billy043); * Fix Pouet images from https://content.pouet.net; * Implemented Native Custom Command multi-editing (overload86); * …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

@overload86: haaaalp is underway @Malik: Thanks! Regarding compilation -- the only thing you need is a recent Java SE Development Kit (aka JDK, version 8 or newer) and Apache Ant and the DBGL source . Extract the source code into any folder, open up a Terminal and enter that folder, type 'ant'. …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi overload86, First of all: thank you for this amazing Launcher! Thanks! Would it be possible to have a checkbox to allow mounting the whole dosroot folder by default and have profiles be relative to that? And then we could also use 2 fields in the DOSbox version configuration for "always run these …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi all, Starting off with the 0.93 beta round: * Fixed a problem opening links to files with spaces in its path; * Fixed exporting mapper files * Keep track of latest export type (profile or game) and auto-suggest export filename based on export title; * Implemented a more accurate export progress …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi people, A last few minor changes in this beta build: * German translation update (thanks Marcel) * Fallback to generic SWT ImageLoader if GifDecoder fails to load .gif file * Enlarge default max thumb size to 1920x1440, improved thumb scaling (dosdog) Unless I can somehow reproduce (and …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

If you go to this website , you'll find a JRE zip . Unzipping the contents of this zip into the DBGL folder, allows for running DBGL without even installing Java. Just edit dbglcons.cmd and change its contents to: jdk8u252-b09-jre\bin\java -Djava.library.path=lib -jar dbgl.jar || pause Seems to work …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

You are right!, and it looks like it's fixed now. The gifs simply do not load, and don't crash the program. Regardless heres a sample of the files that previously caused crashing. https://anonymousfiles.io/qMqC3ZFK/ Strange, I've tried multiple systems (Windows, Fedora, Linux Mint) but I'm unable …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Thanks for the heads-up Epsilon. Apparently, some images (probably .gif) fail to load which crash DBGL. I've made a few changes to prevent this from happening and log a failed load, to hopefully find out what's going on. Can you please update to this new build and check which images fail to load? If …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

...could someone explain to me the easiest way to pass on my old profile collection from the 91st version to this new 92 beta 12 version? Sure. Please be aware, though, that I will release a new non-beta on the main website, soon. Most often you can simply update an existing DBGL installation by …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

First, would it be possible to add an option to change the background color of the screen or to put an image? (the white one hurts my eyes) The SWT gui engine supports application theming on MacOS and Linux, but not yet on Windows. It is being worked on, but there is not much I can do myself at …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Hi all, I've just uploaded beta12 with a couple of bugfixes for the new 'Scan directory for known games' feature, most importantly for Linux users. Also implemented is sorting of the results table by clicking on the column headers and inspection of the 'Detection score' when hovering over a score. …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

And here is beta build no 11 with a first implementation of 'directory scanning for known games'. Currently, all files/games from the D-Fend Reloaded 'Auto setup templates' are recognized. You can access it using 'Profiles'->'Import known games in folder' and selecting the directory to scan. After a …

Re: DOSBox Game Launcher (DOSBox Frontend)

Here's another update with a rather big change - I've decided to update DBGL's database library ( HSQLDB ) from 1.8.1 to 2.5.0 to prepare for the upcoming 'scan directory for known games'-feature. This means that I *strongly* recommend you make a backup of the existing files in your DBGL/db folder …
