oh, in case it makes a difference: windows 2000 (pc) or windows xp (laptop computer), using vdmsound or not, i've tried the combinations. the game version is the one that comes on 15 floppy disks; i don't have the original but it's a copy, not a download.

hi, apparently i have a common problem: in dw1, the game crashes everytime i get past the dragon summoning and into act III. i read in a different thread here that you used to be able to get a saved game (i think from psygnosis) that's saved just after that point. does anybody have it? or can …
