Installing ftom a:\ doesn't work

Whenever I try to install a game from my a:\, it claims there's not enough space on my harddrive, even though there obviously is. My friend told me it was because DOS doesn't recognize harddrives that are 10 gigs (give or take) or more. Is this true? Also, does this have anything to do with properly …

Depends on what you consider fast. Athlon XP 2800+ Runs at 20+ fps in 320X200, dynamic core, frameskip=0, no sound. Considering that on the host you can get around 200+ fps in 1600x1200, then yeah I wouldn't consider DosBox fast. ;) You could up the frameskip a bit and perhaps get a bit higher …

I would like to know how he was able to run Blood. I have it and DosBox crashes whenver I try to run it. I know nothing of this "mounting" and "partioning" business, and the readme didn't make a lick of sense to me (D-Fend doesn't help in running Blood either). If someone could help me out I'd …

Don't use Blood in DosBox. The best you can hope for on that machine is perhaps 20fps in 640x480 with terrible sound quality.....and that's the best. Lowering resolution and playing around with sound quality may help....but if your using Windows XP then you should be able to run Blood on the host. …
