Re: DOSBox Icon

Inkscape is nearly-almost-but-not-quite full featured (and by this, I mean they haven't got a couple of little things like gaussian blurring and group-based gradiated transparency). Nonetheless it's a pleasure to use, after a little while you can whip up just about anything vectory you want with a …

Re: New DOSBox Frontend - DOSBoxGui

I'm stumped. When executing dosboxgui.tcl from /tmp: scott@trousersnake:/tmp$ tclsh8.4 dosboxgui.tcl proc_browsers.tcl Application initialization failed: this isn't a Tk applicationunknown color name "Black" Error in startup script: couldn't read file "./proc_browsers.tcl": no such file or directory …

Re: DOSBox (Mac OS X Version)

Easy. Just run DOSBox and type in "config -writeconf dosbox.conf" at the command prompt. A new file should appear in your DOSBox folder called (funnily enough) dosbox.conf, within which you can modify the options to your choosing using a text editor of your choice.

Re: DOSBox Icon

Does that mean the alternative I offered for 16/32 sizes is at least a step in the right direction? Probably could be done better pixel-edited by hand, but here's a shrunk version of the icon. Re: DOSBox Icon

Phwoar, now -that- sounds like a challenge 😀 If nothing else comes up, I might have a shot at the IBM look. Only caveat I can think of is the hordes of angry luddites w/pitchforks that'd disapprove of making the Z:\> prompt even smaller on the 32x32 icons

Re: Linux Install missing SDL

My question is: have you tried just installing a regular game that depends on the main libsdl RPM package. Ordinarily when you compile a game, it chooses to link to the lib file libSDL.so.1 (.so being a library file that's read by the program at runtime). In this instance, it appears to have found a …

Re: mounting in mac os x

Could you be more specific? Which game was this, did you use the "mount -t cdrom d /Unix/Path/To/Files" command to turn MSCDEX emulation on, was it the actual game that was complaining that it couldn't find files, if so have you tried installing the game off the DOSBox-emulated CD drive or finding a …

Re: Can't launch DosBox on Mac 10.2

DISCLAIMER: I have only compiled DOSBox for Linux, and therefore I'm making a lot of assumptions and there's a tiny chance things could go disasterously wrong. With a bit of luck the processes should be near-identical. Word of warning; even if you build DOSBox by hand, it's not going to be very nice …

Re: DOSBox Icon

Here's a few versions with higher contrast. The grey border around the pixels is gone, and the icon takes all available width. Re: DOSBox Icon

C:\> is a bit more nostalgic, but some people reckon that the similarity with the windows command prompt icon would cause a bit of a kerfuffle. Ah, one more can't hurt... Beige III Master ( SVG / PNG ) http://covox.ld.net.au/whine/wp-content/dosbox_beigeIII32.png http://covox.ld.net.au/whine/wp- …
