Any idea what causes this error? I get sound when enabling this, but no display.

Yeah, I thought of that too. I've changed it so that every file in the directory is NOT read-only and... meh.

Same error, even when using new version of DOSBox. Arena plays just fine, and I have it mounted the same way. I've even tried copying the contents of the CD to the hard drive and directing the config file there, same error. Looks like I wasn't meant to play Daggerfall. 😢

Update : I got it working! Seems to be running just fine for now, with one odd crash during the emperor's cut scene at the beginning, but has not crashed during game. Haven't played extensively, so we'll see. Runs at a nice frame rate, full sound but a little slow if in full screen. I moved the …
