Re: D-Fend Reloaded (DOSBox frontend)

I just updated D-Fend Reloaded to 1.3.0 and now have a minor issue I hope you can help resolve. Whenever I start the program I immediately get an error dialog box that states that "Unable to create directory.". Clicking OK starts the program but my games list is missing. If I open the program option …

Re: V for Victory - Graphics Issue

I'd disable the double buffering if I were you. Could solve your sound problem. Yep - disabling double-buffering does the trick and the sound gets a lot better. Thx. I tried your first suggestion, however my monitor kept showing it in complete 16:10 fullscreen (i.e. horizontally stretched). If you …

Re: V for Victory - Graphics Issue

Thanks - at least I now know that messing around with more options is not going to "solve" this for me. I tried your first suggestion, however my monitor kept showing it in complete 16:10 fullscreen (i.e. horizontally stretched). I then tried your second suggestion and I got back to my desired 4:3 …

V for Victory - Graphics Issue

Having recently upgraded to Windows 7 and a 16:10 (1920 x 1200) monitor I am working through my DOSBox game configs to get them working again. I'm having a small issue with the way V for Victory is being displayed, namely that when displayed fullscreen, but NOT stretched to widescreen (I just want …

Re: D-Fend Reloaded and Multiple Users

Hi Ikrananka, if you install D-Fend Reloaded in "Program directory mode" all user will share the same settings and installed games. But (at least under Vista or under XP in non-admin mode) you will have to take care all users have the permission to write to the D-Fend Reloaded program directory. If …

D-Fend Reloaded and Multiple Users

Is it possible to setup D-Fend Reloaded such that multiple users (via their own logins) on the same PC see the same games list and have the same settings? What I'd like to be able to do is to administrate the games setup under one or any login such that any changes affect all users.

DosBox and VDMSound - The Future??

I tend to use VDMSound for most of my DOS games and it works very well. I have also checked out the DosBox website and the excellent status page which makes it very clear as to what DosBox can emulate well and therefore which games it is likely to run. I'm also fairly sure that I read a thread …

Vesa Support

in DOS
I'm in the process of getting my old DOS Stalingrad war game (by Avalon Hill) up and running. It works fine in a standard Windows DOS box (obviously with no sound) and I have managed to get it working using VDMSound 2.0.4 (Update 2) and Launcher 1.0.1.1 with sound working great. However, I can only …
