Re: X-Wing Collectors Series (Windows version)

B-Wing and Imperial Pursuit were (as far as I know) only released in DOS and were expansion packs for X-Wing. I realize it was kind of a long shot these would work with the Windows version of X-Wing. I didn't mean to imply they were expansion packs for XvT. I was wondering if the Balance of Power …

Re: X-Wing Collectors Series (Windows version)

I don't think mine has those add-ons. It does contain the 14-mission Flight School version of X-Wing Vs. Tie Fighter. I also wonder if the Balance of Power expansion pack will work with this version of XvT. I'm pretty sure Balance of Power was made for Windows.

Re: No sound in Redguard with Glidos

I'll mention one more thing in case it's relevant. Whenever I start this game through Glidos, an error box opens that says "16 bit MS-DOS Subsystem. TOMB. An application has attempted to directly access the hard disk, which cannot be supported. This may cause the application to function incorrectly. …

Re: No sound in Redguard with Glidos

OK - maybe this is a silly question, but I'm playing this game for the first time with Glidos. It's the demo version (downloaded off Gamespot), and I believe I set up the sound correctly (right click setsound, choose Run with VDMS, etc.). I'm hearing sound effects, music and voices just fine - but …

Re: X-Wing Collectors Series (Windows version)

I own the Windows version of X-Wing and was thinking about getting the two addons B-Wing and Imperial Pursuit. Since the addons were only (as far as I know) released in DOS, can anyone tell me if these are compatible with the windows version of X-Wing?

Re: Metal Gear Solid PC

I've actually been having video card problems with both MGS 1 and 2. Like everyone else, I can only play 1 in software mode. But I was surprised that a newer game like 2 isn't compatible with modern video cards either. For what it's worth, I can play 2 with a fix I downloaded. I've attached it to …

The Weird Spinning Menu Problem on Tomb Raider

Hello everyone, I just finished building a dual boot PC for both Windows 98 and XP. I have an issue - and I'm curious as to what could be causing the problem, since I thought my 98 partition would have no problems playing older games. Basically, if I try to play Tomb Raider (with or without Glidos) …

Re: [Resolved] - Resident Evil Pc

I know a workaround to stop the game from freezing in the dining room: (1) Once Jill enters the dining room with Barry, turn around and return to the main hallway. (2) Once in the hallway, Wesker will say something to you, then you will return to Barry in the dining room. (3) Turn around and try to …

Re: I cant install Nedd For Speed SE

Yeah, I kind of figured that. By the way, for anyone interested, I also solved a little problem with the menu screens on the game. I couldn't figure out why sometimes they were behaving erratically, and the game would eventually freeze up. Then I realized that sometimes I wasn't calibrating my …

Re: I cant install Nedd For Speed SE

This was one of the hardest games I've ever tried to install - even though the SE comes with both a DOS and Windows 95 version! I couldn't install it or (after copying it to my hard drive) play it in XP with dosbox, vdmsound, windows 95 compatibility mode, or windows 98 compatibility mode. Adding to …
