Flying Corps Gold - D3D

in Windows
Last few days I've been fussing around trying to get this to run in accelerated D3D mode. I've tried a bunch of DX emulators so far to no avail: DDwindower, DDwrapper, dgVoodoo2 (D3D) and DXGL for example. I'm running Win7/Radeon 7870 with latest drivers Mostly what happens is a CTD as soon as I …

Re: cant install windows 98

Another solution is to use an IDE to USB adapter to copy the CDROM's WIN98 directory to your C: drive and then install from there by booting off a floppy. No CD drive required for that. This. I ran into odd problems with 9x and this tends to fix the problem, its a band aid fix. But who cares once …

control_053.png Unfortunately throttle and pedals fail to work properly. :( Dawn Patrol? Indeed! Apparently, the problem happens to all Rowan flight sims, that you can use either throttle or pedal, but not both. It also happens to Air Power. The only solution is mapping the pedal to keyboard …

Re: Is a Voodoo 2 worth the cost

Voodoo 2 with a P3/800? Yes. After mulling this over further I think a strong argument can be made that the V2 is the ideal Voodoo card if you're only getting one Glide card - especially a mid range P3.... - V2 has superior IQ, resolution and pixel pushing power than a V1. - even if a V2 is CPU …

Re: Is a Voodoo 2 worth the cost

...I don't want to put a Voodoo 3 or 5 in here as I will loose out on the preformance my Ti-4200 can give me in DirectX class games, which i why I was thinking Voodoo to get Glide if the wrappers don't work right.... That's the appeal of the V2 in a nutshell. As an add-on card it doesn't rob you of …

They are programmable keyboard emulators, so they should work fine one any pc with a din or ps/2 keyboard port. The only problem is the programmer used to write you're own keystroke bindings. That will only work correct with a 66mhz or lower frontbus. I have i think the complete package, with pre …

Spotted a copy of Three-Sixty's Blue Max on ebay. I wonder if the game's worth it. What intrigues me is the turn-based dogfight mode, which could make interesting gameplay, well at least in theory, but have anyone tried it before? Is it turn based? Screenshots I've seen convey the image of an early …
