I havn't uploaded it to the patch section yet since I was looking to have it more complete(alsa handling) before doing so. Set config & config2 as described in this thread to configure. GUS Pnp does that list but has a cleaner DAC, 8192 panning steps, 16bit samples vs emu8k which clips everything to 13bit, 32 channels where emu8k is limited to 30.

If they work together in another windows app, getting another sound blaster wouldn't improve things I don't think. From here I would speculate it's something more I can do with the patch or possibly an SDL issue.

You've checked that they work without dosbox right? As for using host system fm, I don't know if doing so will work, as dosbox doesn't have anything written specifically for fm pass through. Assuming the device works sans dosbox, try swapping out the audigy midi i/o /w wf192xg midi i/o to see if …

One thing I noticed is changing the default music device changes the indexing order. The only sure way to know what's been selected is to look at the log window.

You don't do anything in windows to the selection of devices other than having them installed. Dosbox uses the default midi device when the config line isn't set. To use two mpus, both config & config2 need to be set(ala config=0, config2=1, or config=2, config2=5, etc).

I guess it requires the install to change the drivers to two midi devices that will work with dosbox. and.. I can run the program but I'm not familier with it in order to setup two devices for playback and load a file for testing. Care to give some tips? Yay/nay, your testing of it works?

Not currently, and some of the devs will say it's not dosbox's focus, it's not, but putting a copy of the midi handling on another port wouldn't be too difficult.

If I were running dosbox or had the inclinaton to fork, I would have a default config. Generating the config is an unnecesary step.
