Perhaps, but even with a decent motherboard there really isn't any feasible speed benefit from a slower multipler and faster bus versus the versa.

1. DOSBox's performance is fine, it's not hard to scrap up a computer nowadays that can experience great Pentium Pro 200 performance out of it. 2. Applications like those shouldn't be used in an environment without timestamp support anyway 3. Your music is stupid and overrated.

At 150mhz (50mhz bus speed, x3) things froze more often and things got unstable. I couldn't boot at 200mhz either (of course). The performance gain from a 50mhz bus speed was very marginal and not useful for zdoom or Quake. I'd just stick to 160mhz (40 x4, best performance and stability is here imo) …

it's a compaq laptop actually, it scores in Quake as good as a Pentium Pro 200 does 🙁 it also has unavoidable CPU 'hiccups' no matter what OS is used.

Hi I have this DFI K6XV3 motherboard. At POST, it always halts up at the "Verifying DMI Pool Data..." sequence. Always. Even after clearing the BIOS via jumpers and resetting the PNP configuration in the BIOS. Not even a different power supply helped. I also left it on there for an hour and nothing …

Scorchers' not only a dos game. There's a windows version of it as well. unless you downloaded some abandonware rip which has the dos version only and you never installed from the cd in which you would have mscdex loaded for

No 64bit executable??!! FAIL Yeah that ticked me off when Crysis came out. I hate it when developers don't want to support the REAL next generation of hardware suitable for their so-called nextgen games. Gotta limit to the 32-bit platform only for slowness = more profit for their graphics card …
