Bad 3d sure, but it's still fine for dos gaming and can be faster than the Trio64 for that.

MMX's a very 1997 technology. It was also overhyped, as if one doesn't need a voodoo to enjoy bilinear filtering (at a ViRGE-like framerate :P) and a web plugin of an MMX-exclusive speedboat(iirc) game. Since you have a Millenium and Voodoo Graphics, you're already all set for high end 96 period …

1998 is tricky. This is where that solid TNT card comes in which is pretty powerful (and pretty clear and futureproof), but then again there is the Glide API stranglehold on most games like Unreal where it'll only run best on a Voodoo2 (and that's even counting the Banshee later released that year) …

It especially won't be overkill when the PCX2's bus bottleneck is useful to keep some speed finicky games playable on such a fast (or even faster) system 😀

Currently have a GeForce 4 Ti here's your problem FYI my successful PCX2 combinations have been ATI cards (Rage and Radeon), Matrox cards, 3dfx cards, S3 cards (Trio and Savage), Trident cards, and the nVidia RIVA 128 (probably the only nv card to work). The PCX2 shouldn't care whether you got a …

The earliest commercially released game I can remember being Win64 only is Fray and that flopped big time in 2012 (27/100 on metacritic...OUCH) and that gam'es not even available to buy anymore (nor is it even playable after even one year of release). I'm sure there was something earlier though

No because i've been doing engoo-style featurecreeping in another engine instead and making very nice progress in an offline branch (also libretro/tyrquake started having my colored lighting code)
