If he isn't a serious user then consider a cheap A8 Llano or a A10 Trinity build as it will be cheaper. The other options are either around a cheap Pentium (1155) or Phenom build, if you decide on one of those two may as well get a 7770 or a wimpy GTX650. Agreed Llano kicks ass. Also AMD is very …

Ghz is pointless, IPC is where it counts. I have 1.8 ghz vpu in my brother's new machine oced to 2ghz and it's faster than his his older athlon which runs at 2.5/2.6ghz. The 8320 is 4 core, 4 module. The Phenom 2 still excels at single threaded applications.

I know most people dont use any protection, but this can cause a problem sooner or later. Even when do not feel it, you can get it. Touching the case when grounded is ok, but you need to stay in contact and unplug the power cord. And why does everyone know that it is a problem to remove ram or cpu …

I haven't seen factory, (eerrr maybe i have) seen dock with PCI. I have seen ViDocks and DIY ViDocks before. Are there any decent sound cards for notebooks from sound quality stand point? I mean that in the modern since not old/dos game compatibility.
